Fear & Greed, funding, dominance, drawdowns
Positioning and mood, which are the least reliable inputs on this site and are labelled as such. Fear & Greed is computed largely from price, so it partly restates the chart it is meant to explain; its record greed reading came eleven months before the 2021 top, with price still to triple. Funding rate is the version with money behind it, but its history only begins in July 2023.
Bitcoin dominance and drawdown from the all-time high are the two here that measure something concrete: where capital sits within the asset class, and how far price is below its record.
- Bitcoin Dominance — BTC share of total crypto market cap (%).
- Fear & Greed — Market sentiment index, 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed).
- Funding Rate — Perpetual-swap funding rate. Positive = leveraged longs pay shorts.
- Drawdown From ATH — How far below the all-time high price sits — the depth of each bear market.
- Return Seasonality — Month-over-month returns by year, as a heatmap.
- Bitcoin Price — Daily BTC price history.
